Miller Lumber is a third generation family run business that was founded in 1948 by Maurice Miller. We began by cutting and hauling cedar posts, poles, logs and cord wood with horses.
We rebranded and became known as Maurice Miller Lumber Limited in 1969. In 1978, a more modern Oliver sawmill was built, followed by a larger office in 1980. Pole and post peelers were also added. In spring 2017 we started managing the wood recycling business that had been run on the west end of our property. This lead us into the retail mulch market. The hydro poles we produce come from local counties. The red pine forests are professionally managed and maintained. We continue to sell mulch, lumber, posts, logs, firewood and charcoal to our local customers. |
